the only thing i don't understand is if there was a comet in episode 2, and comets come every thousand years or so, how would there be another comet on the night of this episode? it doesn't make sense. somebody plz explain it?

the last comet came during the 1800's. During Stefan, Damon and Katherine's time. And no, there wasn't another comet in this episode. The latest comet was on Ep 2 only.. Not in this ep..

When Damon said "and then the comet passed.." he was talking about that comet in the 2nd episode. The necklace already got activated during that time. They just didn't mention it yet.

I wonder if Katherine even really loved them. In the book Katherine never really left them ... she just made them think she was dead so they could be brothers again because she didn't want to become between them. I wonder if she makes an appearence in the show like she did in the book. I can't wait till March 25th to see the new episodes !!!! I'm very curious to see what Damon will do ... I wonder if be becomes at least sorry or if he becomes more dangerous and cynical !!!
