haha yeah it is needed if you are giving the shot in the vein, i do it for muscular shots because sometimes if i don't get all the sir out the b12 will bubble up out of the hole, and no one wants that.

@blake909 you only need a filter needle with an ampule. it's used to filter out possible glass that may have fallen into the ampule during opening. you don't need a filter needle if you're not breaking glass, i.e. not using an ampule, because there's no risk of glass falling into the medication.

@ACTORDAVIDTRAN yes, it is very important to get the air out. it's also important to aspirate, to make sure the medicine isn't injected into a vein, which could cause serious complications. also, you should never let go of the needle one it's put in, that can cause tissue damage.

hey great video!! kuz I take b-complex shots often and right on my quadricepts just like you on this video but the one I take is a mixture b12, b-6, and b-1 and boy has it changed my life I mean the concentration,energy, improvement in memory, etc.... anyways I was wondering if anyone can tell me how deep do I have to go on my quadricepts to get in deep in the muscle kuz I heard your suppose to shot up deep in muscle to make the shot more effective? if anyone can help?
