I was watching these videos years and years ago. Man, you can't let these videos consume you. I like your take on Trading, it is just one small part of life, like Guitar, or making Videos. Family is what counts, and you have to put that before anything else in life for those who don't, you really got to fix that. But Trading is still the SHIT MAN! And you will never give it up, your smarter than that.

Sorry, 4th post, so I'll be brief

If you want to sort things out, read FDR's Folly by Jim Powell. Obama is merely copying FDR's play book. You don't need a 100 days agenda unless you are trying to cram legislation down everyone's throats so they don't get a chance to read it and learn about your social tinkering.  Stimulus spending, ala 1930s made no sense at all unless viewed as a means of garnering votes. Like cash for clunkers (UAW), this is just history repeating itself.

Your video reminds me of the Unabomber dropping out of society because of acid rain, deforestation, and ozone depletion, all of which turned out to be bull. Don't be gullable. The world is fine, PEOPLE are messed up, and that is just another cycle. Things are no worse than they were for the WWI generation. But they discovered alcohol, and everything worked out.

You've a part in society and that part is protecting your loved ones and pursing what you love, not being a martyr for CNN types.

All we really have to offer our children is the things we have struggled so hard to learn. If you don't want them to spend their lives toiling under the yoke of a society that will criticize and persecute them for having an original thought, then you better empower them to be able to do something about it. That's what trading is all about, freedom. You can give it up out of some misdirected sense of honor, but society will be as deaf to your warnings as they are the height of a bubble.

You are right abut family being more important than trading. But trading is the only way you can protect your family from predations of society. It is the one thing that sets you apart from everyone else, the one thing that allows you to pick up an live somewhere else or to weather the storm and start over.

The nice thing about trading is you can set it down for a while, and it is exactly the same when you return, sometimes years later. Don't worry about the bad times, this is just a repeat.
