@TeamBackYard206 I think by "old Khmer language" charya86 was referring to the language eloquence and etiquette spoken during the (ancient) time period. (I think the movie was a period piece from the Angkorian period. I'm not sure). The royals spoke in different dialects. I remembered my mom mentioning that dialect to me, except I don't remember exactly what it was called. =(

I understand only half of what they are talking. Old khmer language is hard to understand.
