i have a windows 7 machine and i want to completely delete that and install ubuntu 8.10.
i don't have any internet on that computer at all because it didn't come with a dial up modem and i just need to know a something.
can it do everything windows 7 can right out of the disk?

Has anyone ever noticed this?
(I thought it was my TV and I might be right, but... yeah)
When on an HDTV, (VGA or HDMI), I noticed some horizontal lines misplacing the top layer of the screen, and some in the middle too... It looks ugly man. This only happens in Ubuntu(And RARLY in windows :/) But I would choose linux of windows ANY DAY! (I might as well just get a mac :P)

That still doesn't feel like OS X :-)

Sure you could, you'd need a copy of an OS X disc.
