Famous for his roles in The Last Samurai and Memoirs of a Geisha, Ken Watanabe most recently acted and produced the acclaimed Japanese film Memories of Tomorrow. Asia Pacific Arts asked Watanabe about the process of producing and the difficulties of playing a man diagnosed with Alzheimer's.

  • Ken Watanabe was SCREWED out of the Academy Award for BEST supporting actor. How could Tim Robbins role in Mystic River be a better acting job? It's because he's Asian that he got robbed. Oh well, it took Denzel 20 years of GREAT acting to get a much deserved Oscar, guess it'll take 20 more for great Asian actors to get their due.
