Coraline-Movie Review by Keith Kelly

Keith Kelly reviews Coraline, a stop-motion animated fantasy by Director Henry Selick (The Nightmare Before Christmas). Based on a novel by Neil Gaiman, Coraline (voiced by Dakota Fanning) is a 12 year old girl dissatisfied with her parents, her home, and her life. She discovers a secret alternative universe where her parents are cool, and everything is wonderful--or is it? Too scary for kids under 9, a wonderfully creative exercise in imagination.

No, not too creepy for all children, but kids under 8 who are sensitive to "screen creepiness" might get bad dreams. I heard several "mommy I'm scared" during the viewing. Not that scary is a bad thing-you just have to know the level that your kids can take. I just want parents to know that it is not a "light and fluffy" animated movie. I'm also a fan of Neil Gaiman, especially his graphic novel work.

@innovativecom Bullshit - this movie is scary for ME. And I am 23. Don't act like this can't be scary for adults as well. Sure as hell is scarier than shit like The Exorcist.

good review, well thought out, time of 1:47 and nailed it, but this guys trying his ass off. you can tell/ get a little bit more loose man. smoke a dooby or 2 then do a review. other wise great job

Coraline isn't too creepy for children. It is rated PG. Neil Gaiman wrote the Coraline storybook for his little daughters.
