  • Shawn,

Why would you create a video just to relay a bunch of lies? You know NOTHING about Catholic doctrine.

    .

You just like to lie? What's the deal?

  • @Dystopiologist I'm not lying. I'm joking.

Do I call you a liar, when you tell me that a guy walked into a bar?

  • @shawnmcghee1

If it's really a joke, why don't you put a disclaimer: "This video does not portray Catholic doctrine accurately?"

Perhaps you are joking here, but Catholics are getting tired of having their faith misrepresented.

  • @Dystopiologist I the fact that it's on the internet, should be disclaimer enough. The internet is like the Weekly World News. There's no need to specify what's innacurate, because no one expects anyone to take it seriously in the first place.

  • Brigid is a Celtic goddess and is NOT some spirit that serves the Christian god.

  • To the Celtic Pagans, yes. But to the Catholics, she is a saint. I didn't make that up.

  • @TheClayPeopleAreHere That sucks, but there does seem to be quite a bit of variation from one parish to the next.

  • Cute but totally wrong at least on the catholic side. I have a friend who was kicked out of her church for being a lesbian.

  • The ending is cute. ^^ Even if it isn't totally accurate, religions should totally be able to get along and say 'hey, let's go buy religious stuff together!'

  • @catholictruth2000 "Believe in" as in "approve of," and "believe in," as in "believe in the existence of," are two different things. So when a Catholic (or any Christian) says "I don't believe in magick," it's not the same as when an Atheist says "I don't believe in magick." When I suggest that the Catholic "believes" in magick, I was using the latter definition.

  • @catholictruth2000 By "American Catholics," I mean Catholics in America. (Although, I believe there was a campaign years ago, to break away from Rome and form an official "American Catholic Church," but it didn't amount to much.)

  • Catholics do not believe in brith control, homosexuals, and magick of any sort(that includes any spells and rituals because we believe they are against god), and we love and welcome all people but strongly disagree with any part of wicca and pagans. PS some Catholic bishops say H.P. is ok but most say no to H.P.

  • @ClanLcps

Not true at all, watch this: /watch?v=ReV0nCuObcs

I've heard some American Catholics (ironically located particularly in the northeast) cling to creationism, but the vast majority of Catholics no longer hold on to that belief.

  • @clanlcps yes we do. We have ( most of us) believed it for a while now.
