The articulated Provo Hooker is a proven heavy-weight streamer used in rivers all around Utah. I think it'll be great for Winter Steelhead here in Oregon this year and I have changed FinPusher.com's original colors to those more attractive to steelhead.
This fly has a lot of material and, as such, requires a lot of weight to get in the water. Wrapping both hook shanks in wire helps, as does the glass beads and large, nickle-plated lead eyes. The front hook should have several layers of wire, and you might find it easier to add the wire after all the marabou. You can then wrap the wire to the same thickness as the stacks of fur and feathers.
Tying time is close to an hour, which is why is has been sped up 5x fast.
