Afro-Cuban song form applied to drumset - this is David Garibaldi's groove.
Rumba Colombia is usually played fast.
From the western part of Cuba, I believe.
The rack part emulates the segundo, the kick emulates the tumba.
A soloist basically tears the universe apart on top of this rhythm, with one foot in four and the other in six ... you should explore this stuff!
Rhythmic heaven! Totally complex and danceable.
