4th grade school project, model of farming cycle, made with twigs, clay, cardboard, prismacolor markers. Akhet, Peret, Shemu. Many cardboard figures of people, animals and model of a shaduf (irrigation device). please leave a comment

  • The hieroglyphs were found on the internet, school books, and pretty much any book that had anything to do with Egypt. We also found pictures of clay models that were buried with the Pharaohs, that helped us put the scene together. We drew and colored them on thick white cardboard, with Prisma Color markers. Any used book store should have a book on Egypt. Hope this helps.

  • not sure but it was not too thick, however i glued two pieces together after i colored both sides, because the markers bled through. I used a very sharp hobby knife and i changed blades often to get a good cut on the cardboard, no stensils or patterns were used, each paper character is different
