Lake Champlain - Something floating on the surface

This is better quality of a vid I uploaded before. This was footage I took in 2006 at Lake Champlain. This object was some distance from me, I used a telephoto to get in closer, hence the jagged movement. I don't think this was Champ, because it was obviously something floating on the surface. But it was interesting because it was in the shape of a black triangular fin sticking up above the water surface. It looked to stick about a foot out of the water, but it looks to have a very small base underneath the water, so I don't know how it was able to stick up so far. I filmed it for around 10 min before it floated off into the distance. At the end of the clip, I zoom out so that you can see how far away it was from me.
