This is the 2007 MTH Tinplate Traditions reproduction of the Ives Olympian Standard Gauge set from 1929-1930. While faithful to the original in appearance, it incorporates all of the latest electronics and is fully controllable with the DCS remote control system. As you can see in the video, it a super appearing, super sounding set. It's from the very large part of the Standard Gauge world, with the locomotive and four cars stretching out over six feet! I've been uploading videos to YouTube for 22 months now, and the 90 of them that are here just passed a total of two million views! Thanks folks! Please visit my web site - http://www.toytrains1.com - to see lots more videos of model (and real) trains in action! A NEW VIDEO OF THE IVES OLYMPIAN HAS BEEN SHOT IN TRUE HD 1080p! • I love how MTH reproduces all of these old Standard Gauge/Tinplate engines, and puts the new protosound systems to into them.

  • Cool. Good sound too.

  • I'm a fan of standard gauge too. I have a MTH State set and I think the horn they use is more diesel than used on a BiPolar they probably used an air whistle. Great video and train. I'm also a fan of subway trains.

  • That's awesome, I think it's ironic that MTH started making these reproductions before Lionel did.

  • awesome train, I will be a maniac on trains when I will have the money to buy them!
