I remember once Richie said that his solos aren`t showing off and they are pieces of music. He said true words. That`s why I adore him so much. He`s not trying to be a virtuoso but a true musician. He`s trying to do his own thing - create beautiful melodies( besides beauty his guitar and music has deep meaning too). I respect him so much and proud that I listen to his music everyday - and his music is great help for me too.I don`t know what else to say... Thanks Richie! You`re the man.

i think all you sambohaters dont like him because you thought that "the guitarist of bon jovi" is a normal ,verage,nameless guitarist...so wrong...he is a very talented, more soulful guitar than so many others...speed and complexe tappingsolos arent the holy grail of guitarplaying...the feel and talent is the thing...richie got so many very good improvised solos live...for example i dont like slash, he is so bad in improvising solos i think...thats just my opinion let me hear yours

paul gilbert and richie sambora ARE great guitarist..
both of them has their own style..

I thought we already discussed about R.Sambora (DragonLee!) not being into various techniques,he's a melodic guitarist with blues roots,that's what makes him great and people love about him! so stop this fucking non-sens battle about who is better,every guitarist is good in his own way,one for technique,one for melodism,another for combination between technique and melodism,and so on.. none of them is better than another,all of the guit. mentioned above are good in their own ways and styles!
