If your claim is denied after a hearing, you have 60 days to file an appeal with the Appeals Council which is the appellate level of the Social Security Administration. An experienced law firm can advise you on the merits of pursuing an appeal.

  • Once the appeal is filed chances all it will not help because it has to be a 1. Law error 2. Judgement error 3. policy error. in 99 percent of the cases it is not going to be any of those three things in the denial so chances that the appeal will be the same as the denial you got. It is not worth it to file the appeal because it has to be one of those three types of errors and SS is not at all going to say that any of those 3 conditions happened at all in any way. Appeal not worth filing.
