I have a 01 caravan with a 3.3 and it taps like a bitch now and again. Only 99k on it. Unacceptible!

The noise is from the timing chain hitting the chain sheild, the first couple years have this issue, but it doesn't cause any trouble. Almost all of these that I have owned have 300,000 and are still running fine.

early 3.3 were garbage, Now there good but still not recognized as ultra durable.

can you upload a vid of the set up? and tell me where to buy a compressor, i think mine might be shot.

do you know where to get a cheap suspension swap? Air ride's broke but the car is mint.

Well, the cheapest way to do a suspension swap is to swap in the rear shocks and springs from a Dynasty or a New Yorker that doesn't have the air ride. The shocks on mine were good, but the compressor was shot, so I modified a small 12v compressor with a solenoid valve for pressure release, and relocated it into the trunk so it would be more protected than the original compressor.

Dude, it's called OIL!! Use it!!

DUH! The oil was changed about a week prior to this video being taken (Mobil1 synthetic). This is not the first 3.3L I've heard rattling at idle like that. The squealing is coming from the throttle body - the air filter and airbox cover were removed at the time I took the video.
