In 1970 the Oregon Highway Division used a half ton of dynamite to dispose of an 8 ton whale, an event that humorist Dave Barry calls "...the single funniest news event I know of...." Now writer/comedian Chris Gummert has created a one man, "documentary play" exploring the whole story behind the video: "Countdown: The Story of the Exploding Whale."

  • the moron said, a case of dynamite per ton of whale, I remember hearing this on Art Bell years ago from a witness. LOL friggin bureaucrats!
