Chaplains have been a part of the US Military since this nation's inception.

To deny chaplains the right to pray, practice their faith and conduct services according to their faith is unconstitutional and un-American!

  • As a Chaplain, I am sorry for some of your negative experiences with other Chaplains. The vast of majority of the Chaplains I have served with are dedicated individuals who tirelessly serve their Servicemen, irregardless of their respective faith.

As a non-Christian Chaplain, someone who does not believe in Jesus, I have NEVER been treated poorly or been disrespected because of my different beliefs.

Also, remember that the Chaplain Corps dates back to the time of the Revolutionary War.

  • Chaplains have no job in the Navy. Most of them spend most of their time at home or moonlighting. The one who lives next to me is the most materialistic "religious" person I have had an acquaintance with. He and his wife are toxic as neighbors and very secretive about their scamming life style. Forget academic issues. These guys are a waste, fraud, and abuse issue that the military protects. At Thanksgiving this guy steals turkey dinners packaged for needy sailors.

  • @tedtube100 Chaplains are not there to "bless war," promote war, or support WAR! Chaplains are there to provide spiritual guidance to those who have been called to fight in the war.

  • It may be unconstitutional, but to bless war is un-christian. No human government today is carrying out the work of God by killing other people for political, economic, or other reasons. To teach someone that murdering others is approved by the God of the Bible is a terrible misrepresentation of what the Bible actually teaches.

  • blah blah blah! We are to serve authority, God first, country second.
