17. AT Virginia B Grayson Highlands

My stay in Grayson Highlands State Park in Southern Virginia. It was wet, cold, and miserable. I was not a happy camper during this section. Perhaps I'll go back at some point when the weather is better. Here you will learn about fires in the backwoods, see a shelter, and get to laugh at me being very wet.

@ssprenger1 I've never been to Philmont actually, and have no desire to go. It's not really a wilderness experience type of thing... more of a giant summer camp with program every day. Also, Philmont requires you to take WAY too much gear. But that's just my opinion on what I've read and been told about it. I do acknowledge it as the grandaddy of all summer camps.
