Let me just start off by wishing everyone a very Happy and Healthy Holiday Season. (:

So a year ago today, my parents and Grandmother bought me Caramel. I was so ecstatic, I can't even describe it. But what I didn't expect was a pony that would completely change my life. I have yet to meet a horse with as much personality as Caramel, (although Cosmo, her lover, comes really close.) or as much forgiveness in her. I've gotten her pretty mad at me, I have to admit, but every time I get off she still nudges me and follows me around, even without a halter. She has taken me from 2 foot cross rails to 3 foot oxers. No pony has ever done that for me. Last October she gave me the best day of my life. It was on a hunterpace and we flat out galloped basically the whole way, and we won. It was beautiful. I'm not going to lie. (: She has been a shoulder to cry on, (literally) and has also shared some of the most beautiful moments of my life with me. She can't talk, clearly, because she's an animal, but I really don't think we need words. We both know exactly what eachother is thinking. I'm crying right now as I write this, not because I'm upset, but because I'm so lucky. I thought bonds like this only existed in movies and horse books, but I now know to never underestimate the bond that a horse and a girl can share. Caramel is my everything. I know I haven't been the best mom to her, but she has graced me with her unconditional love and determination to please me, and I promise that I do the same to her. Yes, she sometimes gets mad at me and sticks her tongue out, but she has never hurt me on purpose, and I know that she never will because she's not like that. This past year has been crazy for me. But it's also been the best year and I will never forget it.

Big thanks to my Grandma, Mom, Dad, Nina, Lauren, Adele, Cienne, Madison, Kristilynn, Carli, Isabelle, Carrie, and everyone else at Victory Stables.

Updates on Caramel. (:
She's been doing incredible. Her lead changes are perfect and she finally frames nicely. Each day she has more and more personality (and a furrier coat). I am finally on winter break so I should have some new videos! :D

I love your description, and I think it really does describe your relationship with her. You guys are the 'girl and horse, one soul' that everyone else can only dream of.
