kidney stone size not found with ultra sound

This is my kidney stone i passed about two weeks ago. I had an ultra sound and they said my stone must be real small because they could not find it. The stone is 8 mm the largest one passable. In short do not try to find kidney stones with ultra sound. You have to get an exray or ct scan.

i am having this pain now for almost 2 months, and having frequency i was diagnosed with uti but even after taking the med it still didn't get better. The pain is on my lower back side and pelvic area. The doctor asked me to have a ultra sound but they didn't find any... So maybe there is possibility that i have but was not seen in u/s

SAME! I had a woke up with serve abdominal pain, didn't know what was going on(never had one before), called 9-1-1, the paramedics came and took me to the ER(they thought it was constipation) the ER x-rayed me, and did an ultra sound. Found nothing, tested my urine and found blood. Told me I had kidneys stones, gave me Magnesium citrate, Oxycontin, and Anti nausea med, Told me to pee in a sieve sent me home, and refereed me to a urologist.

if you think thats bad i went for 5 week wit a 5mm stone stuckin the urinary track causing soomuch pain. so i was going to go into surger and they cancelled it right before they put me out sayin they dont see it anymore. well i just passed that s.o.b. and now im pissed because of it so yeah. i advise ppl to becareful because from someone who had one it hurts. and they say its like a man giving birth.

I have 1.3cm...and my urologies said..is not gonna do anything about it.he said they are small...he said just drink lots of water....IS THAT RIGHT?????

I am so scared of getting kidney stones... the sight of them makes me so scared! Especially the spiky ones!!!
