@IFmusicIF the new models have better tuning heads (acoustic tuning heads instead of slip or friction machine heads) the strings after a day of first tuning stay in tune for ages, the tension and sound of the uke they make is great.. i've had my default strings etc and uke for 2 weeks now and i love it.. but i have to admit to get the full sound out of a ukulele buy a slightly bigger wooden one for a bit more money, my uke is wood but has been painted. i recomend buy if just for fun or learning

@Jimreeves20 I made this a long time ago. I usually drop the tuning down half a step so that's probably why it doesn't jive. (Also, I'm not sure there is an E in it. I don't have it at hand to check for sure)

Mahalo ukuleles are cheaply made and because they are cheap they have rubbish strings and tuning pegs. You should save up some cash and get some new tuning pegs and strings from your local music shop. I would reccomend Worth strings for your uke. Also when your uke is new, you need to give time for the strings to bend and adjust, bcause at first, the strings are very slack and don't stay in tune, but keep tuning it on a daily basis and upgrade your strings and your uke will be ok.
