Have any of you seen the John Stewart segment where he shows that Hannity used footage from a different, larger rally of the 9/12 protest and stuck it in with the footage of the smaller health care protest? The trees were autumnal and suddenly green. This is the sort of propaganda that the frightened old people see every day.




Speaking of charlatans like Hannity, take a hard look at the 700 Club on TV sometime. This is also what many senior citizens watch.

if it's a revolution led by these blue-hairs and it's me against them, I'll disable every scooter, force every restaurant to stay closed until after 5 pm, take Matlock off of syndication and burn every can of Metamucil until they cave. The rest of us that actually earn money and pay taxes can have health care within a week.

I'm saying that these people are arguing a point that they know nothing about. Just because Rush says that Obama is socialist, doesn't mean that it's true. If you and others were truly concerned about democracy, why didn't you protest when the Bush administration was dramatically expanding executive power, pushing unilateral agendas, wiretapping, holding tribunals, and debating arresting US citizens with US soldiers? You lived through some of democracy's darkest days and didn't even know it.
