Coming to downtown Winston-Salems aperture will showcase independent, foreign and art-house films in two intimate, state of the art, 80-seat movie theaters and is set to open its doors to film patrons early in 2010. The new construction space, located in the historic Chatham Building at 311 W. 4th Street shares 8,000 square feet of space on the first floor and mezzanine level with the new year-round headquarters of RiverRun International Film Festival. While operating as an independent business, aperture will also screen RiverRun International Film Festival movies throughout the year in addition to being a featured venue during the Festival each April. The theater will have 2 screens, 160 seats and will have 35mm projection and simple video projection capabilities.
