how much did everything cost you in total besides the fish. I just bought a 14 gallon biocube and am wondering how much money (around) I would have to spend to make it look attractable like yours.

How are you liking the BioCube? I just ordered one. Are there any modifications you'd reccomend making to it before I start? (this is my first saltwater tank)

oh ok thanks for your help ill get my water tested soon and see where im at

The bulbs I have now are one 27w 6,500/10,000k and one 27w 420nm/460nm actinic. I use the stock ballasts, so they are only being run at 24w each. This vid was with the original bulbs. I've always struggled keeping alk up, so right now I'm using ESV B-ionic 2 part soln to try to keep the alk up. It's not working very well. I'm also trying to get my magnesium up to see if that is the problem. Other than that, I typically just do weekly water changes (2 gal)
very nice tank i have an 8 gal with some cured live rock in it and some snails and hermits as for fish i had a six line wrasse but hes been missing for more than week now so i replaced him with a 3 striped damsel my friend gave me i also do supplement with the ESV B-ionic 2 part solution. my tank has no coral yet and i was wondering how long i have to wait before i can start adding some corals id like to get some beginner coral to start with

Wait until you're done cycling. I think I waited about 3-4 weeks for my tank.

ok do u mean 3-4 weeks from when i put the live rock in? or 3-4 weeks from when i added the damsel cuz i have had my live rock in for a little over a month now

I meant 3-4 wks from when you put the live rock in. More importantly, wait until your parameters stabilize (ammonia, nitrate, nitrite). You'll experience a spike of each, indicating you're cycling. Wait until ammonia and nitrite drop to zero and nitrate is fairly low. After that, you should be safe to add a few corals. Start slow.
