Secondly, (since you sound like an atheist) any type of teaching to children that is not a fact or theory is called an indoctrination. This is what ALL PARENTS DO! They teach their children the way they think and the way they want their children to think. I don't want my children to be an atheist. Do you want your children to be devout Muslims(hehe)? And when you teach to your children that there is no God, that will be an indoctrination, because you can't prove your belief, but you teach it.

That's impossible! Then you will have robots as children. Parents teach children the way they want their children to be. Parents teach their children kindness (which is not a fact, or a theory, but rather a way of life or a lifestyle), so that they become kind towards others. They teach them to be democratic, patient, cunning, strong (physically or mentally), to be a democrat/republican, outspoken, polite, etc. It's parents who don't care about their children who don't teach these things.

Which schools have pictures of brutal murders on their walls?? We, Muslims don't like violence, but most Muslims do not like to be insulted or persecuted for our religion.
Haha, most Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, etc feel that they are superior than others. Don't tell me that most Christians do not think that others are lost or do not have the Spirit of God with them, etc. So you're saying that Christians think of polytheist Hindus as their equal?? Even atheists feel that they are superior.

Dilomat: I couldn't have said it better.

Well said.

Jesuits schools don't have pictures of brutal murders on the walls, Buddhist monks aren't telling their students to look down upon others as inferior or as infidels.
I believe that education should ONLY involve the teaching of theory as theory and provable fact as provable fact. It's not that every religious school is inherantly wicked, it's that the indoctrination of children in to a reality which they believe they cannot refute on pain of eternal punishment is practically child abuse. Theology isn't the problem, religion isn't even the problem, it's the idea that we can make the next generation in to our clone drones that disturbs me.

I think, this is too negative towards Islamic School in Indonesia, me, myself was graduated from Islamic School from Madrasah for 6 years, I did study about Islam Syariah and Concept, there's nothing to do with politics and about terrorism. The world should know that Indonesia is not Islamic country like in the middle east, we are tollerant and respect each others.
