Amery Wisconsin Kids Perform Wizard of Oz Pt 1

The Amery School District brought in the Prairie Fire Children's Theater to help put on this performance. Seventy-five 3rd thru 8th students were selected to do this. Two directors from Prairie Fire pulled this off with five days of after school practices. Very impressive.

At my school we did this play, in 4th grade, and I was Toto because I was the shortest. :) I enjoy acting so I liked having a lead role, but I wish I would've gotten a speaking part. It's kind of funny, cause' Glenda kept getting her lines wrong, and forgetting them. since I was always at the rehearsals, doing nothing, I whispered her, her parts.

I just played Dorothy on July 1st when the MN government shut down. When Uncle Henry says that line about politicians being the worst of all, the audience went absolutely WILD! I tried to keep from smiling SO HARD(!)
