Orange TH30 "Dopesmoker" Tone

Orange TH30 at full power!

Volume was quite low with respect for others, I'll crank it when I get the chance and move the camera further away from the amp, hopefully the sound (read heaviness) gets picked up better..

nice tone! I'm gonna get me one of these monsters:) But I'm not sure what to get. A Th100 or Th30, have you ever played a TH100? Just asking because the Th100 is a bit more expensive!

@mattsson311 Hi! I have not played the TH100 but I would assume it has alot more headroom on the clean channel. The TH30 distorts quite easily on the clean channel, at least if you use hi gain active pickus like I do. So if you need more headroom for clean stuff go for the 100 but if you mainly will use it for dirt the 30's volume will take you a long way!

...hmm.. i wonder.... it sounds like the beginning of "Celestial Crown" of The Sword.. but it's not i know XD LOl Nice sound.. how do you get distorsion? does it have it already inside the TH30?

@Cthulhuized The distortion comes from the dirty channel of the amp, no gain pedals were used. No pedals at all were used in fact.

@mattsson311 I think you'd be happier with the 30. 100 watts is way too much for almost everyone.

I have it and it's pretty loud and it has a lot of gain . This amp is perfect if you play Sludge/Doom metal. This ain't you're razor sharp Randall or Mesaboogie head.

I use a MXR micro amp on the dirty channel (both all cranked up). Then sounds nasty as fuck.

This Amp sounds REALLY great for all kind of DOOM METAL.....I play my Baritone (tuned down to A) through this little monster and no matter if studio, rehearsal-room or live situation, THIS IS IT...Well, I also use a MXR-Booster to get just a little more out of this, but I don't think, you need a distortion pedal for this one...it is what it is PURE ORANGE AWESOMENESS.....btw, if someone bothers about this amp is build in China, just stop talking bullshit and let your EARS judge ! THAT'S IT !

@MiticoMazz The pedals you see on top of the head are a tuner, an EHX reverb and an ISP Decimator connected through the effects-loop though none of them were turned on!

tone sounds good from what i can tel but man f that camera audio. You should mic up that cab and let us really hear it.
