SNES Super Mario World Castle theme done twice on piano.

Piano/Keyboard: Casio LK-50
Recorded with: Flip Video
Edited with: NCH VideoPad Editor

The first time around is me actually playing real time (so it'll sound weird because I don't have extra hands or fingers). Also, sorry for the tons of mistakes and loud plastic keys, I had the keyboard turned at a weird angle so the cam would get most of it, and I had it a little too low xD

The second time was recorded on the piano/keyboard itself. Basically, I recorded the same thing, but I was able to get the entire "flutter" part in. so you'll hear what the actual song sounds like if anyone can possibly play that fast on the piano.

I wonder how it's even possible that youtube labels this as HD O.o

enjoy =D

  • that´s nice

but is the sound of the key pressing normal? sounds very annoying

  • @JakobRobert00 yes, unfortunately it does make the annoying sounds =\(the keys are made of some cheap plastic). Though they aren't as loud sounding in real life. I think the mic amplified them or something xD, plus the keyboard was fairly low.

  • @jeffburtonfan i ask because i think about buying some on ebay

but if the keys are that loud, it is no fun to play with it

  • @JakobRobert00 If I could make a suggestion, I'd look into sometihng like the Yamaha PSR-290 (or 292.. I can have the exact model number by monday if you're interested). It's way newer than the keyboard that's in this video, has WAY more features. Over 600 tones, you can record 5 of your own songs (as opposed to mine which can record 2), and the tones sound way more realistic for the most part. Plus my keyboard is around 11-13 years old while the Yamaha's fairly new.

  • Imma learn this

  • @JakobRobert00 Alright, remember, as long as you enjoy it and practice, you will be a great entertainer!

  • @JakobRobert00 I bought my little sister that exact model, and it is definitely very good for the price

  • @TheAmazingEuph i already bought one i bought the CTK 720 of course it´s not the best, but for 100€ the quality and the amount of functions is very impressive

  • @JakobRobert00 I suggest the Casio WK-210. I hope it's not too late for suggestions, but I do suggest it. I own one myself, there are clicks, but it's barely heard by the human ear unless it's on a very low volume. Overall, the keyboard is excellent if you're still looking for a keyboard to buy.

  • @jeffburtonfan i don´t want to buy a high-tech keyboard because i am gonna start to play keabord and i don´t have any skills now so i don´t need such a good keyboard

i am thinking about the LK 210, CTK 800 or CTk-731

it is matter of whether i can get it on ebay or not

  • @piglet574 nice =D

  • i have that same keyboard :)

  • your fluttery part is accurate despite being played on a non-touch sensitive elec keyboard. That is really praiseworthy!

  • @jeffburtonfan *speechless*

  • @bromsgroveuk well.. I can't even answer that correctly, because I've only taken 1 piano class and that was about 10 years ago XD. I don't even know how to read sheet music, I just go by sound :P

  • Nice, wht grade are you on the piano? im grade 5 :D

  • very good, nice job man =]

  • I kinda lol'd at 1:04 lmao

but yea, nice job!! This song is pretty hard to play anyway so your attempt isn't half bad =)

  • Dude I have this same keyboard at home! :-D Man, this is awesome. The mistakes really aren't bad in my opinion; despite any sloppiness in execution at times, it is uncanny how well you are still able to eek out the correct notes themselves 8-D This song is very hard to play, so I have to give you major props for this impressive work. I also love how you included every part that occurs in the song, as many people seem to skip over some 8-P The recording on the piano was also epic. Faved :-D

  • @TheExarion actually the piano is touch sensitive, I just had it off because I haven't mastered that yet, so it sounds very weird. also during the piano's recording, I did have touch sensitivity on for the "fluttery" part. I definitely do want a better piano though because that one's about 13 years old xD

also thanks for the compliment =D xD, I'm not good with sheet music (or even letters of notes at all >.>) but yeah, I know the beginning was messed up xD I'll be sure to check your vid also =D

  • Piano: I suggest getting one that's touch-sensitive :P I suggest (at best, a Kawai or a Steinway) or if you don't want a hole in your wallet, you could always get a full Yamaha keyboard. Touch sensitive, great sound quality, and about 500 different instruments/special fx. :)

The Song: It's very hard to even attempt this. I love how you got farther than I tried xD Just one thing: The beginning is a G-C-E♭ ↑ G-C-E♭ ↑ G ↑ G (whole note).

    Great job though! :D

  • Is your keyboard on maximum volume? If not I recommend putting it there next time so we don't hear as much crashing of the keys.

  • @EsojestMort yes

  • You love this theme, don't you? :)
