True, but let's not forget the man who brought them together, Blake Edwards. Lom always thanked Edwards for giving his career a whole new life because he'd been typecast as villians for years and he gained an entirely new and bigger audience through the Panther films

Herbert Lom could do everything comedy,drama even horror movies all extremely well.He was a much better actor than some of the big stars of his era.

Amen. Besides us viewers who loved him, the person who benifired most from the wonderful comedic acting of Lom was Peter Sellers. Although already well known in England, his role as Clousseau, with Lom intensifying his character, made him world famous and one of the comedic geniouses of all time. I hope they remember the man who put him their when they mention Sellers name. Herbet Lom
