You understand wrong. There is nothing to 'glimpse'. The Al Qur'an is a clear message for ALL mankind.

So, comprehend this then:-

Al Qur'an - Surah 10, verse 19

"All mankind were but one community (and are meant to be so); then they differed . Had not your Lord decreed the Law of free-will for humans, He would have judged their disputes immediately."

Understand? So, kindly use your God-given faculties, free-will and make the right choices in your life, positively. OK..!?

Three "persons" in One God, all of one substance, but with different natures.. Father, Son and Holy Ghost. It's hard to grasp. The Jews corrupted the idea of the Trinity and wound up with multiple gods, like the "Holy Blessed One" and the "Shhekhinah", among others. .

I am given to understand that the Muslims have a glimpse, have an idea of the Trinity, but they have not put it together yet. It is as if they are a hair's breadth away from accepting it. It is not as if I cannot appreciate how they do not accept it. I do understand how they cannot.

Simple common sense will tell you that nothing or no one else is equal to GOD.

God simply reject those who setup equals or partners to HIM..., simple as that..!!

This is the core problem, which Christians simply cannot comprehend and accept.

The concept of the Oneness of God (The Creator & Almighty) cannot be adulterated nor compromised whatsoever. Period.

It is not true that Christians would not have to give up anything, and only to accept Mohammed. They would have to give up Our Lord Jesus Christ, who is equal to God, who is of one substance with God, and Who is....God. That is the core of the problem between Muslims and Christians.
