The video clip I made in the early morning on the beach in Sumbawa Besar, Sumbawa island, Indonesia. Fishermen prepare for their daily chores while Rena is collecting seashells on the seashore.

  • The lady at the end looks likes shes crying and hiding her face.

  • No, she's not crying, she's actually happy. She is my wife now. This was a clip from our trip in Sumbawa (Indonesia) in Dec. 2002, when we were still courting. In 2003 we got married. This clip is one part of the series of our trip to Sumbawa, which was very memorable. I added the song because I thought it fit well with the surroundings (so, this is not Ireland!).

  • Caitlyn, if that's your daddy singing, please tell him that I think he has a wonderful voice and it is a beautiful song. Anyway I have a weakness for Irish songs, so I am biased I'm afraid.

  • Such a beautiful song. My cousin is the lead singer for the Irish Descendants, Con O'Brien. Caitlyn, tell your dad he awesome.

  • Love this song. My eyes well up whenever I hear it. I have been living in Vancouver for 10 years now but Atlantic salt is still running through my veins. Thanks for posting it and Caitlyn, tell Con he still has "the touch".

  • ya its D'arcy singin this song but i think it was recorded with the irish decendants

  • Good imagery, and very thematic, too. It may not be Newfoundland, but the work, and, I'm sure, the emotions are much the same.

  • Oh cute. You're very lucky to have such a beautiful wife.

  • Peaceful surroundings....

I feel the freedom and I am not even Irish

(I act like one I been told)... love the music

You are all invited to check my classical guitars videos

  • I love these guys. I grew up listening to them. my mom played their music for me when I was in diapers and I continue to listen to them now. This is one of my favorite songs of theirs.
