Too bad there is not a cast recording or a DVD treatment for this amazing revival. Loved it, one of the best shows I ever saw in the West End.

To take a musical that is very American with a mostly non-American cast and creative team and perform it so brilliantly just speaks to the caliber of talent of all those involved. I hate each and every person that got the opportunity to see this. :-P I know it's been five years, but if there's any chance for this to come to Broadway, I would be the first on line for tickets! :)

this would have been one of the best casts to see! So bummed I never got down to London to do so.

@Coryashire the musical opened in 1953 on Broadway and the London production opened in 1955. Later revivals in London have been in 1982 with Bob Hoskins and Julia McKenzie; 1985 transfer with Imelda Staunton; 1996 with Imelda Staunton and Henry Goodman; and most recently 2005 with Douglas Hodge etc. On Broadway revivals have appeared in 1976 featuring an all-black cast and in 1992 featuring Nathan Lane and Faith Prince as well as a less successful revival in 2009.
