Ray Reussner' performs "La Maja de Goya" by Enrique Granados as part of the bonus feature for "Sound of the Guitar" which features all of the music and beautiful scenes, without narration. This version is also uneditted and contains more video when compared to the previously uploaded track. We get a glimpse of the famous 1937 Herman Hausser guitar of Andres Segovia, as well as Ray building the guitar used for this recording that was modeled after it. The 37 Hauser now resides in the Metropolitan Museum in New York.
The complete documentary was recorded at Mission San Antonio in Southern California (founded 14 July 1771). Produced by Tyler Oliver and Ron May. Courtesy of Ray Reussner. Please note, the high quality full resolution stereo DVD with additional tracks is now ready for distribution and will soo be available through Ray's website.
Ray built the guitar used in this video after the famous 1937 Herman Hausser of Andres Segovia using detailed specs by Richard Brune.
Ray Reussner studied with Andres Segovia off and on for 20 years and carries on his legacy through an intimate knowledge of his technique and repertoire. He is also known for his famous and highly collectible Reuer guitar cases, of which Segovia would never leave home without, having owned four during his lifetime.
