i have a question for ya: should i make a new warrior for an alt or a paladin cause i know they both got BIG power increases and im having a tough time deciding also give me a race along with the class

Thank you for the comment. Well, it depends on what you want to do with the alt. If you plan on PvPing a lot, Warriors have always been top in PvP when played with a skilled player in my experience. Paladins are quickly becoming as powerful as warriors though, right now though paladins ARE a little overpowered, which will even out at 80.
If you plan on doing PvE I'd play a paladin since you can play as a DPS, Tank, or Healer in groups, and do well as each.

As for the class you should choose, I've ALWAYS chosen my class based on personal preference, whichever looked nicest for the role I intended.
Humans are good if you dislike grinding rep, as they have 10% less to gain which helps in the long run. Blood Elves are the best for tanking spell casters due to their higher resistance, and AoE Silence. Dwarves are best against rogues and hunters due to poison immunity. Draenei need less hit rating. Your call, I picked human for looks. =)
