Great to see my dad Brian racing with his Mustang at Silverstone. Brian won the first ever caravan race and set the first World Speed Record for towing a caravan. Astonishing to think that after Eric Prue went on to design the worlds first aerodynamic caravan the Autosport Alpha 14 my dad would tow one behind his Rolls Royce to the International caravan rally in Paris touching 145 mph on the Autoroute.

Crazy stuff back from the days! I knew we had caravan races but there isn't much footage around. The marshalls must have dreaded these races!

The yellow and blue mk1 escort is my dads old rally car. She was a 3ltr v6 in a twin cam shell! Still holds the caravan record at thruxton!!

@roydpg unfortunlely hes no longer with us, but my mum recongnised the old car and enjoyed the video. We bought the car from City Speed and that information came with the paperwork for the car. The car was sold in the late eighties to a local car dealer, would love to find her again. Thanks for the vid, brought back many memories thanks
