It isn't the fuel, it is the wick. We thought it would be cool to use the colored fuel in the regular Tiki torch. So I poured the blue fuel into a regular torch with regular wick and got regular flame. I had kept the wick I pulled from the colored fuel container and put a match to it. Voila, there's the blue flame. Home Depot and WalMart both carry it.
TO EVERYBODY:
If you have Tiki torches take the canisters out of the torch when not in use because they will dry up and or get ruined by the rain.
The caps like to break on the torches too. Plus they will tend to last longer.
