The scene that accompanies this music is an utterly epic sequence, and together they create a phenomenal experience.
The movie makes score so much better, as you understand the context.

@gabedeitz It was originally intended to be used somehow during the Tumbler/Batpod vs Joker Semitrailer chase sequence, but ultimately Nolan decided to use no music at all during that sequence.

@gabedeitz From 1:51 to 3:30 parts of the song was used in the scene where Batman was rescuing the hostage from the abandon building near the end. I remember cause I specific scene where Lucious Fox was telling Batman that Gotham SWAT was ready to breach. So Batman has to take out Joker's goons, save the hostage and take out SWAT without hurting the hostages and them. The soundtrack at that scene stirred up a sense of determination, dedication, desperation and nobility.
