  • @gaaraanime5 It probably meant with the extended battery. For extra money you can get a bigger battery that is supposed to last you all day.

  • They charge you 1300 is quite expensive. but if you do the maths, you are not really paying that much of a "premium".. The SSD itself takes up a few hundred bucks in cost. So basically it's around 1000ish? a general eepc with equivalent specs is around 700-800. So that extra 200 dollars made it 1/3 of a eepc thick and 1/2 the weight. I reckon that's a fair deal.

  • @puppyjoe69 due to the ssd and DDR 3, this "netbook" is absolutely stunning for general web browsing and data processing. Microsoft word simply snaps open when you double click the shortcut. I am not sure what type of CPU performance you are looking for, but this is way more than sufficient for what a netbook is designed to do. Unless you want to play games on it, then I suggests you to look at the Z series. The VGP-BPX19 battery makes it last up to 14 hrs. Still not long enough?

  • Sony needs to improve their X series. In order to charge $1300 for a mere Netbook, you have to give it Notebook features. And increasing the capable resolution is useless for an 11" screen....that's not the feature we are looking for. CPU Performance and battery life are the main factors to consider.

  • @gaaraanime5 omg your ignorance is not a bliss. go read sony's website again, it comes with 2 different batteries, a thin one and a thick one with an angled stand. Both come out of the box, you use according to your needs. Sony gives the extra effort to include 2 types of batteries and offer you a choice both for traveling and long time usage, but people like you can somehow manage to turn this around 180 degrees.

  • 2 hours? Sony on it's online store says that it has a battery that lasts about 12 hours.

    ...False advertising is a bitch.

  • This a nice laptop I would definately buy this used in the future, when the price drops!

  • If that thing falls on the ground its will break like a biscuit lolz its toooooo way tooo thin :S

  • I have purchased one yesterday and immediately I found the performance is very disappointing, it can't handle 360p youtube video smoothly, not to mention 1080p, just forget it. The design is very sexy and it is extremely light weight, I bought it because I need to travel with a laptop, if you are not gonna carrying one frequently, you don't need to go through this performance nightmare.

  • ...the competitor is the MacBook Air, not the pro.
