Mirai Nagasu wins the Junior Ladies Title at the 2007 US National Figure Skating Championships.Charlene Wong at the wall with Mirai. Also helping but not present;Sashi Kuchiki and Sondra Holmes on jumps, Susan Austin on choreography,Jim Yorke on skating skills and Bob Paul on Style.

She's got some steep hills to climb before she'll be winning an Olympic Gold. Mao Asada, (whose spirals are also beautiful, have you seen her new program?) Yu-Na Kim, Caroline Zhang, Kimmie Meissner, Miki Ando, Karolina Kostner, etc. If she does want to get to that level, she'll certainly need to start throwing some triple-triples into her programs.

The sad thing is that her basic skating skills are far superior to Meissner and this program is a joy to watch while Meissner's is a chore. Nagasu should have been the 07 senior US champ. This program is sublime.

Mirai and Caroline Zhang- the future is NOW!! With the likes of Kimmie, Mao, Yu-na Kim, and Miko Ando, skating is once again becoming a lot more interesting... thank god!
