Aw. That's too bad. Im actually working on a N-Scale Quebec Cartier railroad layout. Im only featuring the Alcos. GE's are hard to find. And to be honest, I want this layout to represent the "Good ol' days"...

We dont use Alcos anymore, they had an air brakes issue and it was done for them. Some are still in the yard and some have got unmounted/scraped for metal.

@iusetano : You are right. I think 77 is Out of Service, but 43 runs pretty good. I believe WNYP has 8 QCM units.

Cartier retained a half dozen M636 rebuilds and an RS18 rebuild when the first order of new GE's arrived in 2002. Not sure if any survive now, as they got more GE's in the meantime.
Last I heard Arnaud/Wabush had contracted with QNSL for all the line-haul work and only use the Alcos for plant switching on both ends.
