Yup, the blade is supposed to bend. And make sure those doors are tightly closed, if not, the blade won't be angled right and it will hurt. Made that mistake with an old Gillette Super Speed.

The blade is indeed supposed to bend in the razor, this angles the edge towards the safety bar. If it lay flat, the angle would be too steep and you'd no doubt gouge yourself.
