This song was written in memory of a good friend who passed from this life many years ago. Brother Charles Dyson was an awesome minister of the Gospel and also a good fishing friend. I was fishing with him one day when his fishing lure was caught on a log beneath the water. As worked with it trying to save his lure he kept saying, "My Lord The King." No matter what was going on in his life those four words could heard coming from his lips. Brother Dyson lived for his Lord The King, snd when he died I found a place in this song for those words. Each time I sing this song I remember my friend, and that moment in the fishing when his words were the same as during worship service at Church.
