dovecry2 I am also a type 1 and yes living when you are a type 1 is very hard and when you grow up and have all that and no one understands except another t1 . There are some days when it hits you like a rock , a low is no fun and you think you are going to slip into a coma . We live with that everyday .

I have been a Type I for 25 years...Being in shock is much worse than this sometimes.

Living the Life of a Type I is a constant battle to keep from going into shock 24/7

Basically all your doing as a Type I(Juvenile) is balancing from going into a high blood sugar coma and a low blood sugar coma 24 hours 7 days a week.

I have almost died 4 times..I have been in 5 comas.

I also have a medically documented miracle where they sent me home to die.

When your on life support --Life is hard.

I can't believe Broken isn't on here anymore! You had it fitting so perfectly with the clips! I first heard that song from this video and it helped me through a rough time! That song was perfect for these clips! That's a real bummer that you can't have it on here anymore!

There is something about the movie in general thats just so appealing emotionally on different levels too. The cemetary scenes were for the most part gut wrenching but when suddenly the mood turned and Olympia Dukakis yelled to M'lynn and said go ahead and slap her...meaning Ouiser knock her lights out...We'll sell T-shirts that say I slapped Ouiser Boudreaux ! For a film to be written so well that you go from heartbreak to laughter in the same scene is priceless. This film is pure class!

I am type 2, but insulin dependent now, and I saw this video right after having had a low blood sugar spell. I had been googling the movie to show a friend what the attacks are like, and Julia portrayed it perfectly. 2 years ago I had a diabetic coma, so I know what people like Shelby go through. I pray that there is a cure some day so that no one ever has to experience insulin shock or diabetic coma again.

Absolutely fantastic video and very appropriate song choice. This movie brought to notice the problems associated with diabetes and was extremely well done ! For those of us who are type one's we should appreciate our families and friends who care and keep an eye on us and come to our aid during these times of crisis but also try to allow and promote a sense of normalcy! Those horrible lows are the pitts but thank god for juice and the caring people around us right ! Job well done on the video !
