This is a sample of No One Would Listen: A True Financial Thriller.

No One Would Listen: A True Financial Thriller is exactly what the title promises. This is more than another book about the Bernie Madoff scandal, this is a fast-paced, blow-by-blow, true-crime story that you have to hear to believe. In a true David and Goliath tale, the underdog number cruncher uncovers the largest financial fraud in history, and has to fight everything and everyone in the system to bring it down. Harry Markopolos and his team of financial sleuths tell first-hand how they cracked Madoff's $65 billion Ponzi scheme yet, amazingly, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) refused to hear the truth for nearly 10 years. Told from the perspective of the ultimate whistleblower in modern corporate memory, No One Would Listen is bound to be the definitive narrative of this scandal.

This special edition includes an exclusive 10th chapter available only in audio, featuring testimony from three victims of the Madoff scheme who came in to the Audible studios to share their shocking and heartbreaking stories. In addition, David Kotz, the Inspector General of the SEC, speaks candidly about his investigation. Throughout the audiobook, you'll also hear scathing commentary from congressional leaders on the blatant failures of the commission. No One Would Listen is more than an audiobook. It's a lasting audio testament to the largest white-collar crime in history.

  • this is EXCELLENT!!

Markopolos is my hero , he is like the modern Robin hood .

  • it was a good start now fellow americans its time to march on washington

  • thank god for us greeks trying to wake up the rest of the world,,,,thank you harry for exposing these zionist bastards

  • @sugarpuddin88 I'm not 100 percent sure the system Obama wants. But believe me, Unlke America if i was in a terrible accident and was in hosptal for 6 months, ive no worries about an insurance premium going up next renewal date or a huge bill. I just can't understand people who are against it. If they are happy to pay insurance companies who will look first when the customer makes a claim is there any way they can refuse payment rather than is the person ok then that's up to Americans.

  • @JoeyFudd Well technically it's not free. Our taxes pay for our healthcare. But in the USA ur taxes on everything. Youpay your overnment enough in taxes for them to provide healthcare at no extra cost. Instead yor taxes are servicing a national debt tat is ridiculously high, Why pay insurance companies? BTW I can pick what doctor, what clinic, what hospital, what treatmnt etc Iget. Dont listen to proaganda. By the way your postal system, police, fire depts, education are socialised.

  • Adam, you say, "It's free," which is the sort of childish misinformation that fools voters. IT'S NOT FREE. WE PAY FOR IT WITH OUR TAXES. THE GOVERNMENT IS A WORSE MIDDEL-MAN THAN ANY INSURANCE COMPANY. I'd rather have neither and pay for it like we buy hotel rooms - you can buy a room at the Ritz or at Motel 6, as you like. Or as we buy food -- caviar or a cheeseburger. Shame on people for wanting others on their street to pay for their health care. Not enough pay taxes. Damn leeches!

  • @adammac999 Those pharma & health care companies paid to create the so-called Free health care obama is selling you

  • Markopols on Today: Don't trust your government

The main purpose of the Ponzi scheme was to launder international mob monies

The American's have the government they deserve!

  • Don't forget insurance companies spend millions of dollars to tell people that Govenment healthcare is bad. There is countries with socialised healthcare that produces citizens who live longer and are far more healthier than Americans. Socialied healthcare is good. It's free. Do't knock it tll you try it
