    You are right. I went to sky diving for first time last weekend. After seeing all of these videos, i was terrified to jump from the plane. I don't know how some ppl can keep their cool and focus under these circumstances :)

    Many experts have had smaller crashes and died from them, in any discipline.

    The fact that he was able to hold out long enough is what makes it so amazing. Regardless of experience, smashing a rock face at 120mph should knock you out from shock and/or pain instantly.
