In the United States people use an average of 2.5 gallons of fresh water for every minute they shower. This week TreeHugger gets wet and wild with a few water reduction techniques to make your shower more eco-friendly and less wasteful.

  • Renewable resources include oxygen, fresh water, solar energy, timber, and biomass. However they can become non-renewable if used at a greater rate that the environment's capacity to replenish them. For example ground water may be removed from an aquifer at a greater rate than the sustainable recharge. Removal of water from the pore spaces may cause permanent compaction (subsidence) that cannot be reversed

  • Umm, water is a renewable resourse like trees. This is rediculous.

  • so much for us anti-social eco-geeks who dont like people around us especially in under those conditions. :0O
