How come my HUD is green?

I was too slow to save Simms,now i just say'd to myself:If i see again that idiot - Burke,at tenpenny tower ill just blow him up with fatman and throw him off,or easier by shooting him with hunting rifle,like a little idiot,then throw him off the tower.

This is how i get my first Chinese Assault Rifle in the game, just let Burke shoot simms in the back, and then i kill burke.

U still get the rewards from Simm's sun, and u can then legaly access simms house for the Strength Bobblehead.

@ErickDamon do you have to wait for him to pull out his gun before you attack or can you just hit him, also can he really not shoot you close up? I played this and got sims killed and half the town against me. I need some pointers.
