@beatsiz Yeah! "Stop and smell the roses" as they say =]. I dig the music too, it seems like you could do something similar with a jogger on a sunny day and have the same kind of result. This is like a moving version of the photography I do, I think things small and simple can be just as wonderful as the big things if they are presented in the right light.
I'm going to have to try that shake, I might add a scoop of icecream though lol.
you should post the editted vids on here!

@RedGreyV Thank you very much! I think it's awful now that I see how long some of the shots are but you understand exactly why I made it! The joy of the smaller, simpler things in life. Every moment, every object, and everything is special and unique.
That shake wasn't half that bad, I used apple sauce and coconut shavings! Nice guess. I was busier filming that making the shake Hahaha once I get a new MacBook I will edit the dozens upon dozens of other videos I've shot.
Thank you for watching!

@beatsiz I know nothing about film stuff, but this was really well made. I found it very relaxing and representative of the joys of simplicity many people fail to relax to due to today's busy minds.
That shake looks good, by the way, what were those last couple ingredients? Apple sauce and coconut shavings?

@beatsiz Yeh I got the H4 on recommendation. I edit on a gaming PC I built a few years ago. Holds up ok but still lags alot on playback. My next project is a ghost effect. You know when they get out of the seat, but stay in the seat at the same time. It looks easy as pie and I could use it in a ton of horrors.

@bruvvamoff Yeah, the main emphasis was just opening the fridge and getting ridiculous Bokeh from the reflections inside... I wish I had an 85mm f/1.2 50mm f/1.0 or some ridiculous f/0.95 or f/0.7 specialty lens!
The shot of the berries was somewhat hard since the camera was in the fridge so I could get the light to turn off to get the little afterglow.
I don't think I did good at all, I threw this together within an hour.
Edited in iMovie and yes I shot at 1080p24 with a 1/50 shutter speed.

Depth of field on the fridge shot is a bit too shallow. Whole shot was a blur. Shot of the berries in the fridge hurt my eyes it was so bright lol. Other than that great job. Transitions were a bit slow like you said but who cares it's a fruit shake ffs. Lol always gotta prod the fruit down don't ya? Did you use 1/50th shutter speed? How did you edit?
Hey dude. I tried putting together a similar video called coffee and it was a continuity laugh fest. I thought I was doing really well till I sat down and watched the footage. Cups were moving around on their own, milk was on the side, then wasn't, then was. I think I put the sugar in the cup like three times lol. Sooner or later I'll get it finished and I'll see what you think. Did you check my film effect video on the 7D?

@bruvvamoff Hi, yeah but the beauty of it is that you'll only get better by developing a keen eye. I'm still disgusted that I have to edit on a 3 year old MacBook... Handling 1080p on it sucks. I'm still trying to get used to a Proxy Workflow first before I do any serious work.
I checked it out, pretty good stuff! I love that you've pretty much nailed down the technicals just like me. I'm thinking about getting a Rode Video Mic or an H1 because there should be a new H5 or something coming out.

Lens not needed. Reduce the iso for the inside fridge shot or use an nd filter. Sunglasses for your lens. Do you find that the aperture automatically adjusts itself to different light? It is annoying me bigtime. Apparently it's a common fault and Canon have a software update to fix it but I'm curious if you had the same thing. I'm throwing together a little horror film this weekend with my 7D. Exact same thing but with fear instead of fruit lol. I'll send you a link when it's done.

@bruvvamoff Well the lens is needed if I want Bokeh... Hahaha
The shot was fine but I decided to try to make it blow-out and then normalize but that didn't work out. The ISO was always at the sensor's native ISO 320 so I don't really see how much improvement could have been made using 125... It's at least 2-3 stops over-exposed but oh well, I'll keep in mind not to blow out stuff on my 7D anymore since it's a straight highlight clip.
No, I use Manual mode, that's the only mode to use...
