@blacrvp I like Audacity now that is uses VSTs now and you can put in your favorite ones it's great plus IT'S FREE! I love Audacitiy's editing it's nice, reminds me of PT.

Really like the idea of using the Gate In/Out on the back of redrum to increase loudness/dynamics (in the bass), cut out masking (on the top end) and generally clean up the mix, even before it even reaches the mixing desk ...

volume in a higher range would be nice, instead of just watching this video

How would you about doing this same procedure with the Kong Drum Designer?

Why is reaper not as big as cubase or pro tools? Its the same stuff just in a simpler format. Id rather use reaper over cubase any day.

If you rewired record to Pro Tools, would you still use the EQ's from Reason or Pro Tools or both?

I use reaper as my vst daw and the SSL mixer in Record is better on cpu no need to use another vst to get the sound. I would really only use reaper for vsti and vst fx that I can't live with out on a track. Other than that I do all mixing and recording in Record. The tracks that I do in reaper i stem out as audio and drop them back in to Record so I can keep everything in one folder. Record saves session just like a refill it zips it and compress it to save space.

Cool, I just started with reason and Pro Tools. Then they come out with Record. Which I like. But is there a way to set up headphone mixes in record? Thats the only thing I have not yet to see.

Your going to love this one look in thefar right lower corner and you will see a control room knob. This is for you to send the sound to the Record hardware rack to be sent to your monitors. This way you dont change the main mixer setting and that can be the head phone mix. The control room knob is pre fader, post fader, pre fx, and post fx I hope this helps.
